Trying to make fast money with affiliate marketing can be compared to playing Russian roulette, except rather than the revolver aimed at your head, the revolver is now pointed towards the target of trying to hit that all-important lucrative pre-conditioned traffic source, that will view your offer and potentially purchase, thus making you money.

In fact, this might not have been the best example to use, but one must recall back to the advertisement that one saw over and over again about affiliate marketing. Yes, that one, that advertisement, and because being only human enough, you got lured into these promises and anticipate wide-eyed for the money to come in instantly.

Unfortunately, this is the most common mistake that people make once they get into affiliate marketing. Many newbies will have fallen victim to those who are promoting the business successfully enough.

But then, after a while, they finally start to realize that they are not really making the kind of money, they were being promised. And yet they thought that affiliate marketing was indeed a simple business, something that could be operated by clicking a few buttons here and there.

Many of you, no doubt, will have heard so many wonderful things about affiliate programs. You may have also heard of testimonials of people who are earning more money by endorsing the products or services of other people with testimonials, reviews and sites.

And why not? The commissions that they will be receiving is more than great. All you have to do is spread the word out to the right people and soon they will be making their way to your affiliate sites. It all seems easy, but the the actual reality is that -perhaps it’s time to revisit our game of Russian Roulette again?

Perhaps not.. but getting into many and various affiliate programs is similar though in that you are taking a gamble, a chance, hit it and well done, you either dead or you’ve hit jackpot, and the money is rolling in. Fire a blank, you live again, but you’ll have to relive the drudgery, and stress of trying to hit the jackpot.

A common misleading perception is that many newbies think that affiliate marketing is a numbers game. So to be successful, they would need big numbers, and I mean, lots of them. These type of mindset marketers would try and get into every affiliate marketing program in the hope that the more program, the more the profits. How wrong are they? Or should that be “What on earth are they doing?”

Getting into more affiliate marketing program simply does not work. It’s a simply fact because concentrating on one and giving it your best shot, is far much more preferable and less hassle. Imagine applying to every single affiliate marketing program? You will be torn to sheds between which ones to install first place and which ones should be left to gather dust in the corner.

The resultant? Your affiliate marketing campaign and strategy will not have worked the way you expected it to, nor will it have achieved the so called desired results that you had envisioned.

Called it deluded by greed? I’m unsure but what newbie beginner affiliate marketers should always remember is to focus on one product or service first before they could go on getting more than they can handle on their plate.

As with many other types of business, affiliate marketing is a continuous learning process that have to be researched on and learned to be able to have an initial idea what it is you are marketing about.

For example, you decide to change your car and you walked into your local car dealership. You ask them questions about the car, such as what the fuel consumption, whether it’s petrol or diesel, how many years of warranty is included, what financing options are available etc… and all the sale advisor does it nod, strokes their chain, play with their hair or scratches their head, before hesitantly replying – you would be absolutely furious. Therefore the same principle applies with affiliate marketing.

First learn or know more about the product or service being offered. It is highly recommend that you either try the product out or try to find out as much information as possible so that you can really tell something about it to your potential customers.

Next, try to also learn how best to market them. Is your strategy working or is does it seem to end with you getting nothing and trying all over again? This is just one of the important questions you should ask yourself once you are into this kind of business. There is no point marketing flip flops to a Eskimos at the North Pole, it would be absurd it someone ever did that.

Furthermore, you may also wonder how the super affiliates make it seem so easy. Like you, they did not start out successfully. They have also undergone the same process and mistakes as you will encounter, but they persisted and eventually learnt the strategies that would optimise their affiliate marketing productivity and conversions.

If you have just ventured into the affiliate marketing business, it is best to try and focus on a program at a time. By doing this, you will get to learn a lot about the business and how to run the business model successfully.

Along the way, you will also have to learn about sales writing techniques i.e. copy-writing, in order to aid attract the attention of more people and potential buyers to view your offers. Presenting your advert is one of the most important things that make will make or break your affiliate marketing campaigns. Without these things, your marketing campaign will not be as successful and as effective.

Therefore, try to input some enthusiasm into your business. Your readers will sense that feeling in you and they will they be able to catch the enthusiasm that you are radiating. For example, when you are reading a book, the emotions being conveyed are getting through you. You get to feel what is being written and on some occasions, you immerse yourself and imagine yourself as the main characters.

This is the same way with affiliate marketing. If you are confident enough about what you are offering, you will feel so strongly about it, that you can encourage other people to feel the same way about it. So try to find an affiliate marketing program or product that you believe in and follow it through. It will not only give you the proper credibility, but it will also give you the enjoyment of promoting something that you like or are passionate about.

Should the ultimatum come i.e. the worse comes to worse,, there are still plenty more other affiliate marketing programs and product out there waiting for you to discover and make your own pot of gold.

    Good Luck!

Use any of these proven techniques for marketing to increase sales. Entrepreneurs, Consultants and Business Developers can find additional information by visiting [http://www.sellingadifference.com]

Tip #1: Embark on a careful linking strategy

There are many ways for your company to appear as one of the top ten in a search engine database without having to pay money out of your marketing budget. One easy way is to do some simple research. For example, go to http://www.google.com and enter in some key words that would bring visitors to your own site. Make a note of the companies that appear in the top ten list to research their linking strategy.

Once you have compiled your Top Ten List, use a free service like http://www.alexa.com to find out their linking strategy. You can find out who these companies are linking to, who is linking to them, how much traffic they are receiving and related-sites information.

Use this information to craft a reciprocal link proposal. To make it easy for these sites to accept your offer, let them know that you have already added their link to your website and why you have done so. Like any good proposal, the benefits of a reciprocal relationship should be laid out clearly and succinctly.

One of the easiest and fastest ways to build your linking program is to submit your site to directories.

    Tip #2: Use Pay-Per-Click Options

If your website isn’t generating a lot of traffic at this point, there are great pay-per-click options available like http://www.overture.com and Google AdWords. This allows you to reach people when they are actively looking for information online on what you offer. Pay-Per-Click options allow you to only pay when people click on your ad.

Taking the time to craft a carefully worded and very targeted advertisement is critical to your investment dollars in pay-per-click options. You only want to pay for qualified people clicking on your site. If your service is only located in one geographic area, for instance, you will be wasting your marketing budget by not stating this. You do not want people from Manitoba clicking on your ad if you only deliver your service in Nebraska.

Also, you need to use keyword-rich content in all your copy. A great service to use is http://www.wordtracker.com. Not only will this service give you ideas on key search terms that you may not have thought of, it will tell you how many companies you would be competing with if you use them.

Tip #3: Write & Submit Articles

Your articles must provide value and should be unique. You can submit articles to print magazines, newspapers, ezines, associations, online resources for relevant industries as well as “article farms” like: http://www.ideamarketers.com, http://www.ezinearticles.com, http://www.selfgrowth.com, http://www.goarticles.com, http://www.buildyourownbusiness.biz, http://www.articlefeeder.com.

Ensuring your articles are written in a keyword-rich context will increase your visibility and ranking with the search engines. Use http://www.wordtracker.com, https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal or http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ to find commonly-used search terms.

    Tip #4: Start Blogging

While blogging is not usually a get-results-quick method, it is a very effective way to build loyal readership and trust over a period of time

    * Focus on the niche market that you are serving and deliver what they want to know about. Don’t make the mistake of trying to cover multiple topics or subjects if the blog is geared to ONE.

    * Let your audience know when to expect an update from you. Frequent posting of valuable information is key to having a high readership, so be prepared to spend a few days each week posting and responding to comments.

    * Before you begin marketing your blog, have at least 10-20 posts set up. You don’t want to look like you just started yesterday and people will want to get a flavour of your communication style before they link to you.

    * Determine your blogging objective. If it is to drive more traffic to your website, make it easy for people to get there. For example, “get some great sales resources here”.

    * Measure it’s effectiveness by getting a pre-blogging benchmark of whatever it is you’re using the blog for. If you want to drive more traffic to your business website, know what your stats are before you begin blogging so that you can measure its effectiveness.

    * Begin marketing your blog by commenting and linking on other blogs that you respect. When you leave a comment, leave your own blog address. Participate in blogs that your target audience would be interested in. Listing your blog with major indexing sites, directories and search engines will help you get more attention.

    * Add links to your site that allow readers to bookmark the post in social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us, digg and blogmarks. You can also include a “tell-a-friend” option with your posts that make it easy for people to forward information.

    Tip #5: Get Referrals

Valuable content is the only way to get quality referrals and quality leads. Include “e-mail a friend” or “tell-a-friend” invitations with all outgoing correspondence. You can include messages like this in the signatures of e-mails, at the bottom of articles, in newsletters and in your blog.

Because you are close to your genius solution and know all the ins and outs of its application, do not assume that your target market knows what to do with it. Ask for what you want. Spell it out for everyone. If you want referrals, ask for them. Put the referral-generating process at the forefront of your audience’s mind.

Tip #6: Create an Opt-In List

Like all marketing you do, make it easy for your valued customer to do what you want. Create a system that does not require much time or thinking to participate in. People are busy and if a process becomes too long or cumbersome, they’ll be moving onto something else. You can create opt-in lists for your newsletters, regular article features, reports, advice, etc.

Tip #7: Start an Affiliate Program

Affiliate Programs are similar to getting referrals, the difference being that you actually pay commissions from revenue that is generated as a result of a referral. The great thing about Affiliate Programs is that you only pay when you get a sale. There are people who make great livings simply from affiliate commissions. Aligning yourself with some fantastic promoters is a great way to reach thousands upon thousands of people.

    Tip #8: Hold Seminars

When marketing your seminar to a targeted audience, try using a real invitation sent in an envelope through the mail. Curiosity usually gets the better of people when they’ve just received an invitation through the mail and they’ll open it to see what’s inside. Your chances of success increase when you use an odd-sized envelope, quality stock and a non-white color. Anything a little different will be sure to pique interest.

The actual invitation should be in a pleasing, easy-to-read font and the wording should certainly highlight WHY the recipient should attend. Clearly outline the benefits of attending your seminar, how they can register and any relevant details about the event. Make it EASY for people to attend. When you tell people exactly what they’re supposed to do, the chances of them doing it increase exponentially!

    Tip #9: Distribute Press Releases

Immediately following or even preceding the release of a new product, service or event, have some carefully worded press releases distributed to some RSS Feeds like http://www.prweb.com.

You can also distribute these releases to associations, forums and user-groups that your target market belongs to. You want to use other people’s networks to gain the most leverage. Identify those groups that your target market would belong to and get their buy-in to inform their members about your new product/service/event.

    Tip #10: Conduct a Survey

There is no better way to understand your target market’s desires better than to ask them! Using a well thought out, carefully worded survey with clear objectives will help you get inside the minds of the people you want to convert into paying customers. This information will enable you to present your services in a way that appeal to the real reasons people buy,

Some companies hire a third-party to design and execute the survey, others take care of it in-house. Either way, it would be a good idea to include an incentive for people to take the survey. Offer a discount, a chance to win a prize in a draw, etc. Like every other aspect of increasing your exposure to your target market, make it easy for them to complete and submit the survey.

The problem today with Affiliate Marketing opportunities is choosing the right online affiliate marketing program to promote, out of the thousands that are available to you through Clickbank, Amazon, etc. A lot of Affiliate Marketing programs push niche marketing and that’s good. It’s great to find a niche that you know something about it and enjoy doing. But how do you start? What’s the best way to go? For example – tae-kwon-do, my son is doing tae-kwon-do and loves it – and at Clickbank we found a tae-kwon-do product that he could market and sell. So we set him up a website – he’s making about $50 a week now – not bad for a 10 year old. This may or may not be right for you, so again, where do you start? What is the simplest way to jump in and become an affiliate marketer?

So, this is what we have to take in to consideration when choosing the right affiliate program:

    • Does the program provide a great product?
    • Does it offer multiple products, or just one?
    • Do you have to do all the work, email follow ups, etc?

    And the most important:

    • Does it have a sales page that will make people buy it?

Many affiliate marketers jump from program to program on a regular basis because they are not getting a good response from the Affiliate Marketing program they are currently promoting. They think just promoting a Clickbank hop link will get people to buy the product, but unless that program has a great sales page nothing will happen. A sales page that is not enough or too over the top will turn people off very easily!

The best way to get prospective customers, for your affiliate marketing product is to offer a high perceived value product for free, but that Giveaway has to offer a “value” to the customer. Start by setting up a squeeze page giving away a product to get your visitors name and email address. Your product can be a free report, a short marketing course, or an eBook, whatever. This method helps to builds your mailing list. Now once you have their name and email address, you have more chances to offer them your product as well as other products you might promote in the future, as you develop your own or change your Affiliate Marketing programs. But remember not to oversell. Build a relationship with your mailing list by offering good quality content. With each professional and informational email you send out, you build a rapport as well as trust with your prospective customer.

All this can take a lot of time and effort or money – finding great Affiliate Marketing products to promote, creating Squeeze pages with a free report, finding or writing a free marketing course, and/or creating a series of 5-10 informational/professional email follow ups for your Autoresponder.

Ideally, the best Affiliate Marketing program would offer you multiple products to market, have compelling squeeze pages for each product, provide you with all the email follow ups to send to your mailing list, provide great marketing tools and training to get sales.

If you are tired of looking for an Affiliate Marketing product that does all this for you?

When we are speaking about the merits of online gaming, we are sure to mention deposit promotions and bonuses. The word “deposit promotions” is becoming more and more popular in players vocabulary. All of these gaming destinations offer deposit promotions to players to get them in the game. The gaming industry is willing to trade generous deposit promotions and bonuses as a marketing ploy to give players an edge when they are playing online blackjack, roulette, slots and other table games.

There are 3 main classifications for casino bonuses:

    - Depending on whether a deposit is required: deposit bonuses and no deposit bonuses.

    - Depending on whether a player is new or existing: signup bonuses and reload bonuses.

    - Depending on withdraw restrictions: zero risks bonuses, normal bonuses and sticky bonuses

    Deposit Bonuses:

Casino deposit match bonus – make a deposit and receive a fixed amount of bonus casino money. One of the most common types of bonuses – $100 for a deposit of $100.

Casino deposit percentage bonus – make a deposit and receive a percentage of its value in bonus casino money. These kinds of bonus benefit for large deposits.

Casino zero risk / risk-free / cash back bonus – make a deposit, but did not immediately receive a bonus. If a player is going to lose their money, the lost amount will be returned to his account as a bonus. Usually casinos return lost money during one day and the amount of returned funds is up to $100.

No deposit bonuses are divided into:

Registration bonus (download bonus, sign-up bonus) – player receives a small amount of money ($1 – $25) as the expense simply for the fact that he registered in the casino.

Vote bonus (voting bonus) – the player votes for a casino on one of the popular gambling sites, casino receives confirmation of vote and adds bonuses. Typically, a bonus can be received each month.

Tell a friend bonus (Refer-a-Friend bonus) – let your friends know about casinos, and if he/she will make a casino deposit, you get a small bonus ($10 – $50). Player must send casino e-mail or fill out a small form for confirmation.

Marketing Strategy Innovation in Online Casino Deposit Promotions

Play Time bonus (1 hour of free play with bonus money) – Amount of bonus money can be usually up to $500. After gaming, casino player can withdraw money from their account. This kind of “bonuses” become more and more popular this days.

Of course, there is no free lunch in this world. Deposit bonuses are often accompanied by conditions. The main condition – the player has to make a pre-determined amount of wager before cashing out the free money. Generally cashing out is allowed after the value of bids made exceeds the sum of bonus in excess of 15-30 times, although there are deviations.

Conclusion As the market space for online casinos gets more and more saturated and competitive each day, online casinos are beginning to take a hit on its profits by using marketing strategies such as deposit promotions and bonuses to acquire players. Free play time on the casino’s money can seriously impact their quarterly net earnings.

Players are also getting smarter by looking up deposit promotions websites to make sure they get their edge before venturing onto the tables. I am sure as time goes on, the online industry will have to utilize something a bit more creative to keep these players coming back.

Marketing can be quite a challenge for any services company. Selling intangibles is not the same as selling concrete products that can be touched, tasted, or test driven. While product marketers need to be concerned with packaging, branding, and focus group results, service marketers must figure out how to get prospects to buy the promise of quality, reliability, and results.

Any honest marketing professional will tell you that any marketing effort is pretty much educated guessing, where budget resources get bet like chips on a roulette table. There is no such thing as a “sure thing” in marketing, in spite of the claims made by experts in the field. It’s all probabilities and odds.

Still, you have to show up and play. But if you understand that marketing is really a gamble, you have skewed the odds of success more in your favor. This knowledge will allow you to plan more carefully, see the results more pragmatically, and help you decide which program elements stay and which go based on results.

But wait…I am assuming that you actually have a marketing program, and that may be inaccurate. If your business is like most small to medium (and in fact, some quite large) enterprises, your marketing efforts may be stand alone initiatives with little or no relation to each other. If this is the case, you are making things harder than they should be and are losing out on the cumulative benefits of having an integrated marketing program.

Many of our clients, all service companies, come to us with a specific request. The request might be for a web site, a brochure, or a report of some kind. While we are happy to provide these deliverables, we try to do so within the context of the client’s larger marketing strategy. Trouble is, more often than not there is no larger marketing strategy. The request is more a reaction to a stimulus (“We need to update our web site,” or “We need a brochure to send to prospects”) than a part of a multi-faceted and integrated marketing approach.

I think that all of us can grasp the advantages of an integrated approach over a onesy-twosy, do-it-as-it-occurs-to-us way to conduct marketing. An integrated approach increases the ability of individual marketing initiatives to contribute to and benefit from other initiatives, so that a “whole is greater than the sum of its parts” effect is achieved. It can be much more cost-effective and can produce a much higher return on investment. It can raise awareness and interest in the target market faster and more powerfully. It can align closely with business objectives so that results are on track with company goals and mission.
