It is quite simple to calculate the roulette odds and understand the game properly in order to win the most in the game. If you are a regular player then you would have noted that there are 37 spaces on a table with a single zero which you have in order to place your bets. Hence, the chances of the number you choose to come up is one in a 36 which means that there will be only a single number coming up and 36 others not coming up.

  • First of all, you must know that roulette with two zeros that is 0 and 00 are much worse as compared to those with a single zero.
  • While it is true that the addition of the 00 is not much at a glance but in fact it increases the advantage that the house has over the player by two times.
  • The bet you make on a single number on a wheel will determine the odds of winning and it will always be one in 36. The payout here is 35 to 1 and there are 37 numbers on a wheel with a single zero.
  • In order to increase your odds, you should try and split your bet into two different numbers reducing your payout to about 17 to 1.
  • A street bet is when you bet on three different numbers. In this case, the odds become 11.33 to 1 and the payout in turn is about 11 to 1.
  • To go deeper into things, you can go for a bet called the square bet which is the situation where you bet on four numbers making the odds 8.25 to 1 and the payout in turn will be 8 to 1.
  • If you are betting on a single column of numbers or a set of about 12 numbers then you have odds of about 2.08 to 1 and the payout of about 2 to 1.
  • If you bet on red or black, odd or even or low or high then the odds become 1.01 to 1 and the payout in turn becomes 1 to 1. Making these bets known as even money bets reduce the chances of losing quite considerably.

The house advantage is described by the difference between the odds and the payout which you will see is just lower than the odds.
